A Glitch in the System

So, as I mentioned in my previous post, I have been having some light contractions. I had my regular dr. appointment today and we discussed it. My doctor checked me and she said my cervix is not in the position she would like it to be in at this time (it is anterior rather than posterior). I am concerned about this because my cervix is not the best at doing what it is supposed to do when I am in labor, so to hear that it is already anterior when I am 12 weeks from my due date didn't sound like good news to me.

My doctor is going to put me on a pump that will give me a constant dosage of medicine throughout the day. The medicine will relax my uterus and should slow the contractions. Sometimes the contractions are mildly painful, but mostly they are just accompanied by pressure.

I will also be on a monitor that will alert the home health nurse and my doctor of how many contractions I have had throughout the day.

So . . . please just lift me up in prayer, and baby boy (who still doesn't have a name, poor guy!). Baby boy sounded great this morning and is moving around like a champ. We just need to keep him cooking for at least another 9 weeks.

Love to you all!

Can you explain the cervix being anterior vs. posterior? I googled it, but only found stuff on the baby being aneterior or posterior.

I have also been having some contractions already. My Dr. hasn't said anything about giving me any medicine yet. I'm going Friday for a check up and she wants to see me every two weeks to make sure everything is like it's supposed to be.
Don't feel bad, we haven't picked a name for our boy either!
